MPLAB: can't set breakpoint
PostPosted: Wed Dec 08, 2004 7:10 am     Reply with quote

hi!

i used mplab the first time today and tried to set breakpoints. but mplab (v6.60) shows an error that the breakpoint(s) can't be resolved.
i tried to fllow some suggestions in this forum like setting the breakpoint(s) in the disassembly. but after "build all" there is nothing in the disassembly.
i user ccs-c compiler 3.150

thx!

Make sure you have COFF format selected in the build options and also make sure that your code actually compiled.

COF file
PostPosted: Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:19 am     Reply with quote

I have the same problem, and is selected the cof format. The problem is that when I compile the source appears the message "Failed to load *.cof file"

Someone knows where is the problem.

I have MPLAB 6.60 and CCS 3.150.

Thanks.

COFF file support from MPLAB v6.3 requires CCS v3.66 or higher.
I don't know how things were handled in the old days...
