Sleep mode
PostPosted: Tue Oct 26, 2004 7:19 am     Reply with quote

I am using 16f819 I want to collecte data continuously in a long period, maybe one day or more, I want to use as less power as possible. so I thought about the sleep mode, after a few mininute, It weak up the PIC to start collecting data and saving data. But How can I use it. are there any samples. I read the data sheet that timer1 could be used for sleep mode if I set it as Asychronize mode, how to set it ? thank you?

Hi,

The best strategy is to first search the Forum archives. You'd be surprised what you can find that has been posted already! In fact, I did exactly what you want to do a few months ago. You can read about it: http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20450&highlight=

Good Luck!

John
