When installing 3.206 I get a license file error. Has anyone else experienced this? 3.205 reinstalls with no problem... |

Every few months, CCS updates the license files. This is to stop people taking 'copies' of the compiler downloaded by someone else, and using them.
If you have current update rights, simply contact CCS, and they will send you the new license file(s).

thats strange because I have been a subscriber for for five years and only needed updated license files 3 times so far.
I have already pinged them on this but unfortunately they came out with 3.206 on Friday so i wont be able to use it until at least monday now. If they are going to do this (I dont fault their reason) there should be a warning or something or at least they shouldn't do it on Friday....
Two other times they screwed up my subscription and told me my license had expired when it had not.... It comes up for renewal toward the end of Aug and I bet they got it wrong again...
Oh well, thanks for the feedback!

This happens to me every time.
I called and emailed tech. support.
In my case I have PWCH and also the SX compiler.
The said it may be a issue with the SX version, but did not offer a solution !
Final commment, if the compiler works, then it's safe to ignore the error message !
It appears to be safe, I can still use all my versions SX and PCB PCM and PCH |

With 3.206 unfortunately it doesn't work. It throws up the famed file mis-match message then blows the program out when you click OK.
At least everyting up to 3.205 is still working for me.
Mental note.. don't get the SX version of the compiler! :-)
Thanks!
