using multiple endpoints in USB HID
PostPosted: Mon Jun 28, 2004 7:48 am     Reply with quote

howdy,

anybody know how to address a HID interface with multiple IN endpoints using readfile and writefile? i'm using the CCS USB development kit.

specifically, i would have a single HID interface with 2 IN and 2 OUT endpoints (plus the 0 contol endpoint), but readfile and writefile seem to be tied to an interface. I know that the interrupt transfer has to specifiy the endpoint in the setup phase, but how does it get there.....

in case you want to know, i have the answer.

HIDs do not support more than 1 IN and 1 OUT endpoint (NOT including the control endpoint) . you need to use multiple REPORT_IDs, or two HID interfaces, or use Feature reports for one set of
reports.
