so i have to sample analog input coming from a switch and i have to use CAN and timer interrupt so that if anyone may help me. various specifications will be discussed like time of close and open of the switch and the voltage range according that this one must be in tolerance.
the subject is very attractive so come on help me

Look at Microchip's application notes AN512 and AN513. They deal with measuring analog inputs using timers. They are a good foundation to start with. The code is in assembly, but the flow charts work in any language.
