software RS232 help on pic 16c72
PostPosted: Thu Apr 22, 2004 4:08 am     Reply with quote

Hi!

I´m fairly new to programming pics, and now I´m having a bit of trouble...I need to send a character/integer to a recieving "avr butterfly" processor..

therefore I need to use RS232 though my processor doesn´t support hardware UART i suppose it supports software Uart?!! ... How would a simple transmit code look like?

Look at the code at the bottom of this page:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/examples.shtml
There is an example of a software USART on pins A2 and A3
of a 16C71.
