New To CCS: Want to create a project with .c and .asm files

Hello,

Have been using MPLAB with Microchip MPASM Toolsuite writing code in assembler. Now planning on using CCS compiler.

I'm Using:
MPLAB IDE v6.4
Microchip ICD2 with PICDEM 2 plus board
PIC16F877
CCS PCM Compiler v3.18
Running under windows xp home edition

My question:

From within the MPLAB IDE, with the CCS Compiler selected as the development tool, can I create a project that includes C files and ASM
files?

So far, the project will only allow me to include C Files. The ability to compile C files, assemble asm files and then link them all together is not an option. Am I missing something here?

Would appreciate any help? Thanks!

You can only 'embed' assembler, by using the #asm directive. CCS C, does not directly support normal assembler, but has a sort of sub/superset, that accepts storage addresses using a 'C' syntax, rather than normal assembler format.
I'm afraid you are not missing anything. This ability is not spported in CCS.
