Does anyone know anything about variable motorised valves??

what types are available??

what kind of electrical drive do they need to work??

Best way to interface to a pic??

I think the words you are looking for are "modulating actuator". Now the amount of torque required to operate makes a huge difference. Regualting the flow of medication into a patient and regulating the flow of water into a city are completely different applications that can both use modulating actuators and valves.
