Is it just me or does anyone else have problems with the example programs that come with the compiler?
I'm using a 16F877 instead of the 16c74 and I've change the header reference to reflect that.
For example, EX_RTC.C runs and asks me to set the clock. After setting the clock and asking the pic to display the clock, it doesn't return good info.

What realtime clock did you connect to it... none of the PIC processors have a build in realtime clock ( at least none that I am aware of)

It is the real time clock that came in the kit I bought from CCS. I tried finding some info on the web regarding this rtc but the number written on the chip apparently doesn't exist on the net.

This is not an answer to your original question, but I beleive this is the information pertaining to the RTC IC that comes with some kits.
