variable pwm with a push button
PostPosted: Mon Feb 09, 2004 9:16 pm     Reply with quote

hi i want to write a c code to set up a pwm output with a resolution of at least 8 bits. i want to be able to vary the pwm duty cycle with a push button, one button to increment the pwm duty and the other to decrement it. i also want to be able to save the last values when the system powers down. what i am realy trying to do is low pass filter the pwm to generate a variable dc voltage to be used as a reference voltage. can anyone help me. thank you in advance.

I think you will find the compiler has example code to do each of the parts of your project. There is also a lot of info on this site about PWM. Do some searching.

I would do each part independently first and then look at putting it all together. What you are attempting to do should work so start experimenting!
