16F8x:TRIS & upward comp.(set_tris_X vs byte modifcation
PostPosted: Sun Jan 22, 2006 11:33 am     Reply with quote

Hey,

The Help file says that the use of TRIS has been dropped because microchip says it is not upward compatible.

On the otherhand when I used SET_TRIS_A it used TRIS,
instead I decided to define TRISA=0x85 and set it manually?

should I not do that, and is there anything to be cautious with?

is this TRIS in the LST what the help file is talking about? and if so why does the compiler still uses it?

Thanks
Amin
