Strange Crashes of other programs

I have noticed that since installing MPLAB and CCS that programs are crashing that have never crashed before. Like WinAMP has crashed and Microsoft Messanger.

Any body else have these problems? or is my computer flaky?

MPLAB6.1x crashes almost everytime I use it with Winme.
At least with the Microchip software you know which version is defective. The Microchip hardware is different you just have to hope you won't be shipped a defective part like the 18F452 since the markings on the chip don't seem to guarantee much. I'd wish they'd just recall them all and be done with it.
