Good afternoon, I’m having a problem using PIC CCS compiler. The problem is that when the program start and I click on menu, to open the file, the program close automatic and I can’t do anything in the program. I tryed to reinstall it, but it didn’t work too. My compiler version is 4.049. |

I think anything after version 7.5 has problems with crashing and it varies from system to system on how much it crashes. I am running 7.62 and it crashes 3 or 4 times a day, mostly when I'm trying to program a chip but on some systems people can't run more than a few minutes or not at all.
There are several posts on this topic, many users have found it best to go back to a version before 7.5, do a search on this site and I'm sure you will find the steps needed to switch to version the doesn't crash. |
